COLLINSILLE, OK: Earlier today, Saint Thérèse Catholic Church became aware of a continuing text message-based scam targeted at Collinsville area businesses and organizations and others in the Diocese of Tulsa and Eastern Oklahoma. The text message claims to be from “Father. Ernesto Calvillo” and asks that the recipient to help with a favor. When the recipient responds, they are asked to "get a steam card for a friend going through cancer in the hospital". These messages are fraudulent and should be ignored. At Saint Thérèse, we have confirmed that our internal systems and electronic information were not breached. We are actively working with the Diocese of Tulsa and Eastern Oklahoma and local law enforcement in this matter, and we are exploring all options. Our parishioner and donor information remains secure. We want to encourage anyone that may have received this or similar text messages to report it to their appropriate local law enforcement agency. Please know that any donation requests from Saint Thérèse will always contain references to our physical address and information that you are already familiar with. When in doubt, please contact us for confirmation. We remain committed to being effective stewards of your trust and generous financial gifts. If there are any questions regarding this or our parish, please contact our Communications Coordinator Jake Brillhart at [email protected].

This previous weekend, our parishioners were asked to share their voice how their church should look with a final detail of our ongoing repairs and restorations. In a 164-86 vote, almost 66% of our parishioners voted in favor of matching the 12 perimeter pillars inside the church to the five, gold-colored pillars near the altar. Vacation Bible School has begun, and our kids are having a blast! What's your favorite memory of VBS?
As a product of the Saint Therese Catholic Church Communications Office's annual plan, we are excited to announce the launch of our website's new blog that will better help capture and share the soft news of our parish. We hope to better share the stories and experiences of our parish and make other information that may not be as easily accessible through the bulletin or social media more readily available. Each month, we will send a curated newsletter to our email subscribes of the top-stories of the month. To subscribe, visit stthereseok.org/subscribe. To read our first blog post, visit stthereseok.org/blog.
Due to parish repairs & restorations, the annual diocesan Priest Convocation, and other factors, daily Mass and normally scheduled Adoration will not be celebrated during the month of June. This does not affect weekend Masses. For alternative Mass times at other local parishes, visit dioceseoftulsa.org/parishfinder.
Is your family ready for Vacation Bible School? Get ready for this faith-filled week this June 10-14. Registration closes this weekend and is available in the vestibule after Mass. For more information, email [email protected].

Earlier today, Saint Thérèse Catholic Church became aware of an email-based scam targeted at Collinsville area businesses and organizations and possibly others in the Diocese of Tulsa and Eastern Oklahoma. The email claims to be from “Rev. Ernesto Cavillo” and asks that the recipient send Amazon gift cards in various denominations “for a friend of mine going through cancer in the hospital.” The emails are fraudulent and should be ignored. At Saint Thérèse, we have confirmed that our internal systems and electronic information were not breached. This appears to be a phishing attempt and we do not have any indications that this is a sophisticated or coordinated scheme. All parishioner and donor information remains secure. We want to encourage anyone that may have received this or similar emails to report it to their appropriate local law enforcement agency. 2019 Repairs and Restorations Announcement
Stay tuned at 7:30 PM, tonight, as we go live and announce the results of this weekend's ballot on a color palette for our church's repairs and restorations.
Congratulations to all 2019 graduates! Psalm 32:8 “I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.”
Thanks to the generosity of some initial donors, we have been able to begin the preliminary work needed to start the repairs and restorations in the church! Unfortunately, this means we are unable to celebrate Mass in the church for the remainder of the month of May and the beginning of June. As a result, we will be holding Masses inside the Parish Hall while workers and equipment are present in the church. For the full announcement, visit https://mailchi.mp/29fe33899769/an-important-update-for-you.
